    Enso 11

This was for me some attempt at restraint...I love Japanese calligraphy and this was inspired by that. the title comes from this

Ensō is a Japanese word meaning "circle" and a concept strongly associated with Zen.
Ensō is one of the most common subjects of Japanese calligraphy even though it is a symbol and not a character.
It symbolizes the Absolute, enlightenment, strength, elegance, the Universe, and the void; it can also symbolize the Japanese aesthetic itself.
As an "expression of the moment" it is often considered a form of minimalist expressionist art.

hope you all enjoy this simple effort.

thanks dear pat - I am glad you like it... Japanese art especially the calligraphic brush work has been a source of learning and inspiration for my work for many years...

Amazing how the sort of triangular bit seems to be floating! Great job!
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

gxh, wonderful colours and shapes , the shading really lifts the triangle above the circle so it appears to be floating...

    Looks very nice Gary...:-)
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.

I like it except for the black border. I think it's too strong. Maybe some abstract border would be better. Good job!

Last time I asked Gxh, "Whats new."

He replied, "Everything. Want to see?"

    And we did.
