Thanks for the feedback! Caesar, I haven't tried another background yet, but I agree that an interesting background would indeed add something to the painting. It seems kind of stark and empty with the plain white background. I think I might experiment with some different backgrounds and see what I can come up with.

I think you have shown an eye for beautiful lines. it does have an almost sculptural look. great job on the lines of the petals enfolded. the only thing that could make it even more beautiful is a bit more variation in hues within the red. great first offering.
