Can anyone help?

I switched from a small Wacom Bamboo to a larger but still affordable Genius M712X tablet. This also includes 34 programmable keys, and comes with a poor key manager software.

The software can't assign driver functions to keys (e.g. "map to screen 1" or "map to both screens", "set absolute mode" or "set relative mode"), such a shame. While the software can launch third-party applications, it can't provide those with arguments. So, all in all, a pretty frustrating piece of software. I believe the same software ships with other tablets, too - not sure.

Would anyone know how these shortcomings can be overcome? Is there an alternative; will for example some other macro key tool work?
