one of my first AR paintings

This is a distorted self-portrait which was originally just the head, but now I've added a torso which is in progress.

A beautiful face and fantastic painting! Love the planar feel to your brushstrokes/modelling. More please robfuzz!

    Smile thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. It's encouraging. Painting with ArtRage has loosened me up and helped me find the joy of painting in a way I wasn't able to do prior with real paint. I hope one day when I return to actual paint on canvas I can retain that feeling and tap into the confidence I'm building in AR.
I look forward to spending some time on the forums here and seeing other people's work!

I know what you mean robfuzz. Always found it hard to relax and experiment when using up canvas and paint and paper and whatnot, and where am
I going to keep this picture anyway?

So I think that's a great thing with digital painting, and I am also starting to feel more confident to tackle the real thing again sometime.

    Cheers.
