    Planetary space travel coming

A Reusable Manned Deep - Space Craft

Almost a year after Launchspace contributing editors suggested an exploration vehicle that would take crews from low Earth orbit to many solar system destinations such as asteroids and lunar circumnavigation, NASA has come up with NAUTILUS-X, which stands for Non-Atmospheric Universal Transport Intended for Lengthy US space eXploration.
The suggested NASA version is a tubular-looking spacecraft that could serve as a reusable vehicle, holding a crew of six and enough supplies for a two-year expedition. This vehicle would be built in orbit and, if funded, could be ready for space missions by 2020.

Your Nautilus looks terrific, dear Captain Bobby Ray Nemo!
Let's start dreaming again of space adventures then, at least for standing delusions we get everyday from events on our poor Earth.
Unfortunately I suspect this mission is going to cost too much for any single country to finance though, and I can hardly think of anyone that would afford spending that much for mere national pride, as it happened few decades ago (maybe excluding China perhaps), so I would rather hope that a multi-national collaboration and sensible returns may be eventually found, otherways we'd better start sending next generations robots over there and think to some sort of automized settlemement!
    Panta rei (everything flows)!
