    My first painting

I have never painted before, just a photographer.
I enjoyed using Artrage and I did cheat by tracing from my photograph for the outline and then used it for reference.
    Hope it is ok.

Well looks like you have caught the Artrage bug and can see there are going to be lots of paintings from you. Its never a cheat to trace Geoff its part of Artrage so go ahead and try everything. This one is great

Nice;only after telling how it's made, we attempt to figure out the difference! Like to see more of your works!

I think you did a great job for a first painting !
You are not "just" a photographer, a photographer has a very special and detailed look on pictures he/she takes and sees more detail in every little thing than non-artistic people do. And that shows off in you work too.
    So.... very well done !

And it is not cheating to use a trace funktion. As a little kid when I first started, software and computers as we know now did not exist yet. But I had to learn to draw/paint by myself, so I held a picture and a paper against the window on a bright day and traced the outlines and did the rest myself. Some failed but I did better every time...
That is not cheating, that is part of a learningprocess.... If you practice a lot you will see that without tracing you can do the same after a while....
So please do continue with this if it giving you great fun.
