Goodness Lima, this is brilliant. The rough water makes me seasick just looking and the contrast with the colors of the boat is beautiful. A really fine work - but then you only ever produce "really fine work". Outstanding.

Superb work dear Oriane. The water really looks rough and wild and I am so thankful that they are all home safe and sound. Its brilliant Oriane

Always wondered how you would do the open sea, what with your ability to paint thick and juicy colors. This is very cool. And hey, I'm not the least bit sea sick (something I have recently experienced in moderation). I wish my experience on the sea would have been this soothing.

You did something interesting here, in the division of the boat with all the airy light bright qualities and the sea with it's heavier supportive essence.

If I were guessing at the psychology of someone who has just experienced tremendous flooding and mud slides, or at least your fellows may have, it has the feeling of 'getting back to normal' and celebrating life and endurance. The floods happened, but life goes on thanks to a stout boat and the natural buoyancy of the human spirit in a broad brushstroke sort of way.
