My Precious?!

Hi,
It has been ages since I have done a WIP here.So I thought this painting might suit.The subject matter is Alexandra's idea.So thankyou Sandy for the Topic.
I hope I can do the weird little guy justice,here some steps.First is just a quick rough sketch all done in AR3,then I cleanup and change sketch.I changed size and shape of his head and added some detail.Next step is starting some values.I'm using Oils with thinner in these steps.Step four is smoothing/blending out values,then rough in the background.Crayons helped here.Thankyou for any comments/questions.

mannafig It's harder when he is such a well known character to get right.That's why I prefer to draw/paint my own little Creatures.Very glad you can see "The Gollum" in my painting,thankyou Amanda.
