    Webcomic "Cover" Pirate Problems

I had the WIP of this project posted (appropriately enough ) in the WIP section of the forum . As I mentioned there, I'm new to using Artrage, tho' I've actually owned it for quite awhile. Just never got around to using it.

This is a cover for a webcomic I started last February that I'm in the process of rebooting. The inks are done by hand. The colors are done in Artrage, for the most part. I did a few things, the stars for example, in photoshop.

The top post is the painting for the cover and the next is the finished product as it will appear on my site.

    Thanks for taking a look!

    Mike

Wow, this looks just like a comic book series. Or, a computer game scene. Very well crafted. Nice work!!!

Super work Mike! Looking very sharp and professional as a web comic. Look forward to its arrival on the scene in full bloom. If this is an indication of what it will look like I would say it will be extremely popular. Looks fantastic.

The key to "popular" in web comics, assuming the good quality of the comic, is links on other established comics. Most of the comics I follow now, I found through such links.

I think You did a really great job on this.
I'm not an expert, but I appreciated and even learned much about drawing from comics in my decades of life, so I think I can express an educated and credible judgement making You my compliments for the neat and enjoyable style.
    Panta rei (everything flows)!
