    sports car

    made a quick background and blocking in color with watercolor and a sticker I made called sketchbook 1.

    blocking in shadow continue detailing.
    add detail to the dash and gauges.
    defining tires and wheel spokes.
    define tail light and chrome around it.

    final image after more details
    blending red areas with felt pen
    worked rear tire and spokes on wheel
    defined rear view mirror.
    defined tail pipes.

    Thanks Jonwood. I have to admit I used a reference image. first I traced it to block in the color then I just looked at the reference to see what I needed to do to get it to look like the picture. It's not like I sat down and drew this out of my head. impossible for me.

    Yes I know you had a reference image ,but it still an impressive painting..

    Thanks for saying that! It makes me feel very good. I think this is only my second auto I have ever painted so I was very happy to hear that folks liked it.

    The first was an acrylic painting I did for a five year old's birthday party.
    I did two paintings for a lady's son one of a Dodge Ram truck and one of keys because he loved keys. I told the lady, who works with my daughter, I charged 40.00 a painting. She loved the paintings but only gave my daughter 40.00 for both paintings.
