    Groundhog's Day

This was just for some colorful fun thinking about whether (weather) that groundhog is going to give us an early Spring in the Northern Hemisphere which seems mostly buried under several feet of snow.

I do hope so Byron. Extraordinary weather conditions. Even down here. I so look forward to the warm weather-green grass and the beautiful blooms.
    Wonderfully cheerful painting!

you need a gallery. I think it would be quite a tourist attraction.
Always a pleasure to see your work.

So if the groundhog sees his own shadow he gets spooked, burrows back down and we have a few more weeks of winter? What happens if he doesn't see his shadow but meets Peter Max? Several more weeks of flashbacks?

"Tune in, turn on and drop out, and mama told me not to come" said the little groundhog. "Spring is busting out all over, neh? Think I'll go back in my basement and put on some Chamber's Brothers . . with stereo headphones. . . Time has come today. . . TtttiiiiiIIiiiiiimmmMMmmmeeeeeEEeeeeee. . ."

D Akey, if he meets Peter Max, and starts grooving on the Chambers Brothers don't expect to see the snow lift before August.

    byroncallas,
It is a cold and snowy evening here and viewing your painting
"Groundhog's Day" is more energizing than being dunked head
first into a barrel full of Chickaboo Joy Juice!

Groundhog day at Gobbler's Knob here in Pennsylvania occured
on February 5th.. Punxsutawney Phil did forecast an early spring
but what does he know because if he saw your painting he would
have known that you predicted it first with your spectacular array
of color drenched form and color. No need to turn my furnace
thermostat up because if it becomes chilly, all that will be needed
is yet another view of this incandescent expression. Brilliantly so
    BRILLIANTLY well painted!
