    new art piece

Here is my second art piece.I took some advice and played around with artrage studio and I came up with this. I am still pretty weak when it comes to doing a background due to the fact that I don't know how but I'll get it someday.

    Nice clean cut painting
As for the background you could add a subtle
light blue or green to break up the white.
until you are confident to add in a better background.

    Very well done. Quite impressive.
As Mannafig said, your background doesn't have to be elaborate to be effective.
Just experiment and you will find some very good ideas.
I took the liberty of throwing together this example of a background just using two colors, on two different layers.
Looking forward to seeing more of your work.

Like they said it need not be much. Abstract would work too. Indeed, don't make your background too fancy because it would detract from your main subject, the figure.

    Very good soldier.

Backgrounds will come with practice and as everyone else has said, they don't have to be elaborate.

I like it Joey, great work!
Backgrounds are a lot of fun for me. Take time out to work with different tools, layers effects, etc and you will be amazed at what this software can do.
Welcome-looking forward to more of your work!

Lookin good. Great job on the soldier. You could always use the fill tool on a separate layer... instant background.
