    I like very much this interpretation as if Leonardo da Vinci was a sort of sorcerer, like Merlin! In a way he was, since he succeeded in so many artistic and technological innovative achievements, so he was not only the dreamer of so many never built devices who came far too soon in time we often think of looking to his technical drawings in his codes.
    Among Your science and technology saints gallery I would consider also a place for Archimedes ....
