    Wow! Exciting color. Hard to wield sometimes. I particularly like the first one. Good attitude, and as an image it has some very cool things going on in it. The second one to me is less dynamic and less revealing of the subject. It's sorta straight, whereas the first moves for me.

    I like the captivating gaze of the first one also. It reminds me of Lautrec or Degas how they would be illuminated from lighting below the subject. Both show a fluidity and freedom of brushwork that is delightful.

    a landscape painting i started working on about 20 minutes ago. no reference used. not many details in it yet, just trying to figure out light and value. i'll probably add a lake or something. hope you enjoy it!
