I, too, paint every day with an Intuos3. The nibs last a good, long time. I´ve had my tablet for about three years and have only replaced the nib twice. You´ll know when it needs changing--it starts getting shorter. When there doesn´t seem to be much left, change it. Don´t let it get too short because then it´s hard to get ahold of the old one to pull it out.
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

BTY Scott I dont know if you got my message in my last painting The Good Old 50's but I used your technique of the thin dry brush and technical pen, just loved it, doing another one now and it is turning out even better so thankyou for sharing this with me......Pat
