Any way to create basic shapes?

I'm sure I sound like a 5 year old asking this question, but is there any way to make basic shapes with this program? I was hoping to use them as a foundation. The only thing I could think of was creating stickers to do basic shapes with but is there some way to make basic shapes that I was missing? It'd be nice if they could be some basic shapes available that would interact with the brushes and such. I can't even fill these when I paste them in from another program (it seems wrong to paste these in from powerpoint anyway though, maybe it's not such a bad thing ). Let me now if I'm missing something obvious.

    Thanks.

Stencil function and Bucket Fill should be of help

    Make Stencil tut http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums...=make+stencils

You can also use the Open Source Scalable Vector Program Inkscape http://inkscape.org/ to create any shape, Export it as Bitmap, Import into Artrage and make a stencil from it as shown here http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums...ad.php?t=32988 and here http://www2.ambientdesign.com/forums...hlight=grading

To resize a Stencil - Hold down Alt and Drag
To move - Hold Down Space Bar and Drag
To Rotate - Hold Down Ctrl and Drag

    Stencil and Bucket Fill doodle.
