    Landscape first attempt

    tried putting some mist in and it didn't work..anyone have a good method..i tried the airbrush..one layer of blue..one of white..played with the opacity and tried using a soft eraser..ended up scrapping it..i'll try to post the mist attempt in a reply post...This is all oil and some airbrush in shadows...
    okay..oops..can upload two images..suggestions please..overall and the mist...
    new guy...trying to figure out the presets on all the tools and where i need to alter the presets...practice i suppose is the best cure....

    thanks..you're right..the soft blue works well...i think the crayon does a good job also, thanks a ton!!

    My attempt at mist

    I used oil with lots of thinner then blended with palette knife on blur. I ended up with some hard edges middle foreground that I couldn't quite get rid of.

    Personally, i actually think it looks better without mist. but thats just my opinion, i like both copies but overall no mist tops it really good job overall though very nice painting!

    I agree with adam I also prefer the no mist version. Nice sky. Nice picture.
