Well, Mr.Ploos, you got me googling. Now I know all about Banjo Groyne and Madeira Drive!

    Good pic of you.
    June.

Oh God of homeless things, look down
And try to ease the way
Of all the little weary paws
    That walk the world
    today.

I'm curious to know who won the chess game now. You look brave as the only castle wall defender. The only bajo I see though is the one You put on Your head after removing its neck. Or is it a mandolino You took back from Your recent visit in Italy? LOL
As a curiosity, the first women known to be more or less renown paintresses (in Europe at least) were most likely three Italians, from Renaissance to Baroque, i.e. Artermisia Gentileschi, Sofonisba Anguissola (You cited and got inspiration from) and Rosalba Carriera. In the second part of the XVIII century also Angelika Kaufmann, a Swiss paintress. In the last century and half (and quite fortunately) lots of fantastic paintresses and artists, the feminine side in a way, appeared to add and provide a quantum leap of genius and delight to the art universe.
