Speaking of Elizabeth I, (no don't read back cause we were not. . .)
but we were speaking of Helen Mirren playing the Queen. And I just watched the 2 part miniseries (roughly 3 hours) with her as Elizabeth I. I can very easily see how she was cast in the part of Elizabeth II in The Queen. She rather remarkably combines majesty with human heart and of course back in the 1500s it was very much a different monarchy. Very complex performance. I was transfixed.

So Mr Ploos. . . no heads on pikes for the likes of artisans like us. . .more like hung, drawn and quartered. It's the artist's way. An' Lucien Freud may be a case in point from the look of yer paintin'. I take that ta mean that sentence would be to pose nude for life drawing and then given lodgin' over the stables. I guess the sentence fits the crime.

So glad you've fired up the Ploos Boos and blew out the cyllinders, Mr Ploos! Good round of sketch ups for your reward and our just desserts. Good on ye, laddie. I particularly like the 3 you all mentioned. But they're all right there in the pocket.

So ye donned yer Cassatt Hat, have ye now. Marie Cassatt that is. Suits ye so far as the paintings go. Yer getting good at the mother and child pics. But I wonder what they'd say if ye walked onto the bus wearin' such a bonnet on yer barnett. You would likely have different expressions on yer models faces, and it could work like a photographer waving a wee squeak toy so as to curry the attention of children for the photos. You could start a new movement of British Expressionism.

Anyway, yer doin' grand lad getting the essence for your mum-daughter shot. Yer paintin's in the family way, ye might say. They'll love it.

POSE-DRAW-SEE!!!! <------- An artist's salutation. Good Drawings to Ye, Lad!

Hi. Cap'n Mac. Watching tennis Nadal lost the 1set. Looks like he's got a hard job on his hand.

I'vebeen having Russian lessons. With Robbies Bonsoi's. That was until I went to sleep. Yeah I always

liked Mary's work As for wearing a bonnet. No need as the white beard and long hair. Gets

    Them Staring. Ok. Posedrawsee. .

That's what art's about, isn't it -- at some point it's about the relationship between the art and the viewer, sort of like speed dating. (D Akey)
