.
... taking a screenshot is not difficult - I wanted to explain it to you, but with the help of google I found a website which explains it better than I could
please click here --> http://take-a-screenshot.org/
once you've taken your screenshot with the "PrtScn" key on your keyboard, you can paste it into Paint (which comes with Windows), or any other image software, including ArtRage! just open ArtRage after you took your screenshot, and go to "Edit" --> "Paste", this will copy the screenshot into a new layer.
- you then can either save the file as an ArtRage painting by clicking "File" --> "Save Painting" or "Save Painting As" (result will be a .ptg file)
- or export the image by clicking "File" --> "Export Image File" (you can chose between .jpg .png etc)
- or go to layers panel, rightclick the layer your screenshot is on, and click "Export Layer" (chose between .jpg .png etc).
save it anywhere you like, just remember where ... I am sure you know how to use your new screenshot as a reference image in ArtRage if not, just ask!
~~~
just to clarify - may I ask why you wanted to take a screenshot in the first place? if you run across an image on any website and want to save it to your hard drive disk, you can just rightclick the image --> "save image" and then use it as a reference image for your ArtRage paintings
hope that helps!
