Wow de wow, MacPloos! Your palette is reminding me a bit of some of J.C. Leyendecker's -- the illustrator from around the 1920s.

I think it's a fascinating thing to take Rembrandt's limited color paintings and give them a new zip and pazaaz with some bright, almost pastel palette life.

He often kept the brown palettes, but he also got into some artificial electric lighting whereas Rembrandt only had candle light or sunlight. Makes sense since they had to mix their own paints from pigments back then so supplies were somewhat dear.
