David McCallum was born in Glasgow. Moved to London when his dad was to take over as Concertmaster of the London Phil. In the bombings, he was evacuated back to Scotland. I would have thought Mc was Irish not Scot which is Mac? Anyway, So that's where he be from. More info than I knew before.

I consider him part of the British Invasion which was in large part a music thing because part of the success of the Man from UNCLE was his being British which drove the lassies in me grade school wild. Brits and Troll Dolls = peas in a pod.

Everything British in those days was going to get a warm juicy welcome from the American lassies. Had you hopped on a boat over here in the 60s, MacPloos, you would have been an honorary rock star and been oop t'yer arse in lassies, Oh aye. Well, heck, I assume you weren't already knocking 'em oot with yer magic tricks conjuring beer and whatnot.

Other paintings looking good as well. Love the boat with the stormy sky. The one cloud looks like you patterned it after a Daumier sketch with that cartoonish profile. Good stuff lad.

PoseDrawSki sez: "I think at this point, ye be starring in The Man from G.R.A.N.D.P.A. and drivin' all the lassies wild with yer cloak an' dagger ways. Move over Sean MacConnery. There's a new spy in town. We call 'im MacPloos -- Eight Double O -- with a license ta paint."
