Hail O Caesar O Mighty One Yes Watteau is the Best Teacher you could ever want and

the greatist artist of all time if he had lived another 60 years he would have amazed

the art world Thank goodness I found him even thou he makes me sweat and thats

only looking at his work he's making me look more close even his detail is always Correct

so as an old Plodder I hope you'll excuse my feeble Attemps Ok

Well, I guess only a minority would subscribe Your painters/ sketchers ranking, but Watteau was possibly the most celebrated and popular in his century, in France at least for sure and in England as well, I presume, since France influence over there. Many artists coming later admired and learned from him.
You regularly find him among a several major artists ever, from the Renaissance on typically, in any tutorial or manual of figure drawing as a great master, so I understand Your enthuusiasm.

Hail O Caesar O Mighty One thank you yes I know it would B better to finnish one drawing

befor starting the next as quiet a few starters are not really finnished but i'm afraid I got

carried away with the excitement of Watteau's Drawing's I often wonder if he ever

had to redraw anything ok but I'll try to stick with him so please exscuse my poor
