    Hi.

My goals as an artist are to just be expressive and have fun. I have no intention of being a pro, but if something came up. I would consider it.

AR has given me much more than just a program to do art, it has brought a revitalization to my creativity and improved my art.

While I have no children personally, my nieces use it when they visit. (4-8 years old) They have learned how to manipulate the program and we talk about the different parts of art and drawing.

    Hi Bobbyray

    1. I draw and paint for pleasure. I would like to get work as an illustrator

    in some way.

    2. Yes it has helped a lot. AR saves me so much in terms of costs of

materials. I can do a lot more digitally (and share it on the web).

AR also helps me design and experiment with ideas which i can use

    in physical paintings and artworks.

    1. What are your goals as an artist. Pro, Freelance Pro, none, fun

My goals as an artist had never changed. Even since childhood i dreamed of recreating imaginary worlds and characters though means of artistic expression. Firstly being traditional and as it became to costly, mostly digital seems to be the way to go. I hope to achieve and realize these goals within my lifetime. As far as level, i am still a beginner but hope to be a Pro.

In a small way. There are still certain limitations with features that i am looking for. For example, vector drawing/painting like in Alias Sketch 2011. Some simple warp/painting tools just for perspective assistance. Some z depth features. Perhaps a gradient tool for certain shading wrapping effects.

    3. Do your children use AR? Y/N

I do not have children so no.

    4. Are your kids learning with it? Y/N

    Similar answer. : )

    Bobbyray,
Ran across your questionnaire thread and hopefully my answers can be
    helpful.

    1) My goals as an artist? ... ( More appropriate in my case would be
"wannabe" artist ) ... to express, to create, to communicate, to
    share, to enjoy.

    2) Art Rage is one of my most exciting discoveries. I led a so called
"normal" life prior to this amazing forum. Have always been expressive ...
possibly it has something to do with that Irish blarney yarn. I have
always dabbled in drawing "pretty pictures" and writing poems but shared
my creations with few friends and family members until I met Art Rage.
The clouds then seemed to part and the painterly sky has now become
    my museful horizon.

    3) My family members not only anxiously await seeing my posts and art
submissions but there has also been a new member or two that has come
on board as a result of my exposure and positive comments about this
    creative outlet.

    4) My kids have learned that their mother really isn't as "conservative"
as they previously thought! Whoohoo and who knew!

P.S. Since I usually do not visualize myself as a "general" person, please
feel free to use my avatar nom de plume if you wish ... if not, that's fine
    also.

    1. Fun (goals: learn, explore, improve and have fun. Maybe one day find my own style )
    2. Y (yes definitely)
    3. N (no, not yet! although creative, hes more likely to write about it than use it at the moment )
    4. N/A (although he is kind of learning, as I tend to blather on about how brilliant AR is quite a bit and occasionally stage a one man art exhibition on our fridge door - sad, but true! )

    Good luck with the story.
Good planets are hard to find - help look after ours.
