    Canal Beagle

This is based on a photo I took one calm afternoon on the Canal Beagle, about an hour from here by boat. (Think of Darwin´s voyage. ) One of my first efforts with ArtRage was based on this same photo, entitled "Shipwreck" (7 February 2008). Since discovering how well the technical pen and thin, dry oils seem to work for me, I decided to have another go. Hope you enjoy it.

Magnificent! Big claps! There's something reminding me of Edouard Manet style, Imaybe the flat colored areas rather than either a fully impressionistic or classical approach to the lighting and definition od the different parts ...

Great painting...with a photo real quality to it
Try to see as many angles of vision as possible...no single one of us has a "handle" on the whole picture.
