    Black and White Photos

Went for a walk this morning, took some photos and tried a black and white conversion filter on them...Forgotten how much I love black and white landscapes.

wow Neal!!! Those are stunning! Thank you for sharing. they really trigger the imagination in b&w more than color for me. It is hard to believe what beautiful dark and lights exist in nature. I forget that sometimes. These are just beautiful! Now I want to try and do a painting starting from black and white. Especially love that closeup in the middle.

Henry that picture is gorgeous! Thanks for showing it. beautiful!

I agree with gzair! Really nice shots with good contrast. The power of value alone (to me) makes or breaks an image. Color is merely added decoration and in this case, not even desired. Well done!

Thanks guys I was really pleased with how they turned out... Henry, lovely picture, I used a plugin for The Gimp to create them. Now looking for a photoshop plugin to use in AR3.

I'm tempted to get out the developing kit and try to set up a darkroom again...

I am lured by them as they tell more than what ordinary colors convey the hidden emotions of nature! Cool and Congrats!
