    Extraterrestrial Worm

    It started as another texture/3-D experiment and I eventually thought to Arrakis Planet in the Sci-Fi book series Dune and its giant worms ...

    Thank You, dear Jasmine and Sandra!

    To paint this worm I used three layers: one for the shape and relief using the paint tube, knife and eraser, one for turning color to dark as a background to the upper layer, one for the scales I made with glitter in three/ four different tonal values depending on assumed impinging light direction and angle.
    As for the sand grain, low pressure chalk was quite useful.
