    Lady Miss Kier

Hello all! I just bought ArtRage after only one day with the demo. I absolutely love it! I generally work in traditional media, but the incredible paint tools hooked me.

Here is my first attempt at a painting; I am still getting used to working digitally, but I did try much wilder colors than I think I would've in paint. I am looking forward to experimenting more in ArtRage, and I am sure that will carry over into my painting as well! (This was inspired by listening to a little Dee-Lite, of course!)

Thanks you guys! I am really enjoying using ArtRage. Though I am still getting used to controlling the brush, I was able to be waaaay more experimental & have fun with it. This is something I probably never would've painted if I were using expensive supplies. And I was able to use as much Holbein paint as I wanted (whereas in real life, I'm conscious of every pea-sized squeeze of Cadmium Red!)

I actually don't paint that much, I usually draw with pencil or sometimes pen & ink. I've taken a few classes, but painting seems like a really 'precious' activity, kind of scary. I just don't practice enough. I was also interested in experimenting with more abstract stuff, another place where I wasn't ready to use up a canvas & a bunch of paint. I think using this software is going to give me a lot more confidence with actual paint. I love it!!
