    Is art Kung-fu ?

The original definition of kung fu is anything that requires skill and effort applied over a long period of time. Someone could call themselves a kung-fu cook. The Question I am asking is if art really requires kung-fu or if it is just anything that pleases the senses regardless of the difficulty required in making it.

What about both. Any developed skill what ever it is should involve effort over time but with that in mind, if a person has no pleasure in what ever they are doing weather it is difficult or not then what is the point of having and working on that special talent or hobby. It would be like a robot that is programmed to be good at something but no satisfaction what so ever. One can work over time with there talent and become pleased with the senses that the skill invokes.

One can call it Acquired Euphoric Sensory Skills within the context of the Arts.

I think it can be considered a type of kung fu. It's practicing skills to perfection. Becoming one with your tools and finding peace in them, whether the tool is a digital pen, paint, or your fist.
