    Brrrrrrr is right, Peter! Love the lighting in the large of expanse of snow leading up to the mountains.
    The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

    Superb job Peter.
    I agree with Scott, it's the lighting/shadows in the foreground that really make this work so well.
    A wonderful example of how to paint snow country!

    Wow, Peter! You are also well draw a snowy wilderness, like the sea.
    Probably because the snow - frozen water)

    ps.For truthfulness I should tell that the sky behind polar circle does not happen. There more simple colors (paints?). (I long lived behind polar circle)
    But all the same - it is wonderful, it is true.

    This is definately one of my favoutire paintings of yours Peter. Even though its snow I dont feel cold, love it

    South Pole I guess. This open, uncontaminated space view is so refreshing and soothing ...
    I was just wondering if a little wider warmer white area on the bottom right hand corner could furtherly balance the ratio between enlighted and shaded parts of this painting ...
