    A Secret Bathing Place

    Hi,

To practice on water and bushes I picked a few ref. pictures and combined them with a little imagination.

In the border of Burma and Thailand, ones still see people bathing in the river between the 2 countries even though not much water except in the rain season.

The technique most fascinating to me is when a woman dressed in a sarong can move the sarong up while submerging herself in water to her neck, gets the sarong bundle on her head. After finishing bathing, gets out of water slowly lower the sarong, voila, bathed and the sarong is not wet!!!

I used oil, knife and airbrush.

Any advice and comments are appreciated.

Here's something interesting National Geographic and Discovery Channel should work on .... I mean, how can a sarong keep dry? What is the fabric made of to be water-repellant? We need a documentary on this!
I guess there's also another shot seen from the other side, down in the After 9 gallery.
    Panta rei (everything flows)!

Thanks a lot Justjean and Caesar

On the sarong not getting wet, I saw that in Java 40 years ago too, what can I say, women know how to take care of clothes.

Another side of this, I don't dare yet.

Jasmine - a really fine job with this, and as always,
your background stories are something I really look
forward to. The look into the daily lives of the people
in that region that your stories provide, is something we will never get from
    a documentary or encyclopedia.

Thanks to everyone of you. Oh yes, living in Louisiana for 16 years, I do remember the skinny dipping until they were boys using some of our water holes and came out wrapped by water moccasins. So some of those were closed down and suddenly I felt too old to do it!!!

    Cheers!
