If you have problems with Straight lines and Perpspective then use a .jpg of a piece of Graph Paper as your tracing image. Wind up the strength of the Opacity when you want see if you're on track, remember to switch it out when you don't need it. If you don't, then what you see on the screen will be a pale version of your picture.
This picture below should work OK if you save it.
You could modify this .jpg with another package to put in a Vanishing Point and an Horizon to suit your picture.
There are many other forms of squared paper which might suit you better.
Other file formats may also be just as good, but this one can get to the site.
