    the other side of here

As has happened before, I started playing with shades of color and tone and things began to take shape (and, as has also happened often, a somewhat alien landscape appeared). Oil, airbrush, glitter and knife on multiple layers using mouse only (too lazy to dig out and plug in my Bamboo Fun, I guess; shame on me!).

I hope you enjoy it; C&C welcome, as always.

Kind of spooky, cold landscape and not a mouse living there.... but interesting...:-)

    jbyrjbyr1,
OMG!!! Happened to wake up around 5 a.m. with "something" shining
in my face through the window and it was the light of the full moon.
Ran out with camera in hand and captured an interesting photo, was
just about to post it and what do I find? I could have well eliminated
my sleepy photo excursion into the night and instead been captivated
by your "the other side of here." So musefully beautiful it is. The lush
palette, texture and ambiance hints of deep emotion. With your art
and expressive imagination you have romanced the "moon." So very
    enchanting!

Haunting landscape! Your use of colors definitely creates a mood here.
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

Thanks, everyone, for the kind words and encouraging comments. Over time I've found that I really enjoy just starting with blobs of different hues within a specific color range and then simply playing around to see what happens; often, nothing happens (other than me learning a bot more about what does and does not work) but sometimes things take shape and that's pretty darn exciting.

And a special thanks to you, Mairzie, for your poetic expressions and impressions. You, dear lady, are tri-gifted with artistic, literary and photographic skills and this forum is the richer for it.
