    Shoebill Bird

I am having a ball using these oil paints in AR. One little statement from Skylar saved me from totally ruining this painting as it was headed for "Disasterville". Wish I had thought about his statement a little earlier but I didn't feel like starting over...if I had it probably would have been better as now it is kind of rough! I was sitting here ruining this painting and was thinking I sure wish I could just blend with the brush...then the "lightbulb" hit me...duh!!! Actually I tried several different things to finish the painting which the grass was last and was done blade by blade...no fancy brushes only the round oil brush...thanks again Skylar for making me think!

Fantastic image Linn! Whatever LSB told you definitely worked and the image is a total success. Well done!

Linn - You're more than welcome. Just a note - I do all my grasses and furs one stroke at a time with the round oil brush.
