Thank you for these links Kenmo. I loved Bob Ross and have an old video tape of his that I still enjoy watching. I can't wait to check these out.

    Bob Ross

    Hi Bob fans,

There is also a DVD with all his best advice on it.

This was done at a local class with a BR tutor. It wasn't very good, so when ArtRage arrived I scanned it in and re-did a lot of the front of it.

His show "The Joy of Painting" was quite popular on PBS in the States...

A link to Amazon listing some of his books and dvds on painting... Photoshop master Bert Monroy often refers to him as having a big influence on his works...

Imo, Bob Ross's biggest contribution to art, was taking away the big "mystery" to painting for average people.
Many people who never would have attempted to try painting, did so as a result of watching Ross, and thinking - "I think I might be able to do that".
Certainly, that is the case for me.
There is no doubt in my mind that if there had been no Bob Ross, I would never have had reason to think I might be able to paint.

There were three shows that aired on PBS on Saturdays that I watched when I was growing up. One was The Joy of Painting with Bob Ross (As mentioned) the other two I can not remember the names of. One was with a rather elderly lady who mostly did pastels of animals and the other was with a heavy set man who usually did watercolor and acrylics. He had an accent, I'm thinking germanic. Anyone know the two shows I'm referring to?

I've made some color palettes for artrage of Bob's favorite colors for various types of paintings that he did. You can check it out on Deviant Art. Just type in my user name in Google and hit the "I'm Feeling Lucky" button.
