    Drawspace.com - lessons

You can now download the drawing lessons from http://www.drawspace.com/ and print them out if you wish. Previously you had to be a paying member to be able to do this, (you could view the lesson online but not download it) The lessons are graded from beginner to advanced and are in a PDF format. Great site for beginners I think

Any idea why they changed from paid subscriptions to these new free downloads? They don't seem to mention anything on the site. Maybe the new Classrooms are paying for the web site now. (At $200-$1000 for drawing lessons, they should be covering the cost of the web site!)

    Cheers

When I finally (at age 58) decided it was time to perhaps actually DO something about the lifelong interest I'd had in art, Drawspace was one of the first sites I stumbled across and as I'd had absolutely no formal or informal instruction whatsoever, I found its drawing lessons most beneficial.

    But beyond that...
Since the Drawspace Gallery is the first place I saw examples of ArtRage works...
and since those examples prompted me to visit the ArtRage site...
and since the works I saw there prompted me to try and then buy ArtRage...
and since the kindness and generosity and helpful comments I received from the terrific folks here prompted me to keep working at art (mostly digital but I'm now playing with hands-on, too)...
well, for all those reasons (and "promptings") Drawspace has a warm place in my heart (not as warm as this forum--although I've not been around much lately--but warm).
