    My book character

I have decided to write and illustrate a book for my toddler. It is a counting book that goes past ten as shop bought books never seem to go higher than that number. My process so far can be found here

This is my star and is based on my muppet of a dog Barney

I am happy with this design and it seems to protray the character of my pooch.

    Thanks Every one.

The book progress is a lot more work than I anticipated I can tell you. At the moment I am working on his expressions and drawing him in differing postures. I really want to draw him with consistancy and not loose any of his cuteness value. Hopefully I'll be getting to the actual pages of the book in the next few weeks.

Excellent work! You know when I was teaching my kids I made a lot of my reading material. To help my son count to one hundred I made a huge rocket ship with lines and the numbers going up to the top, and when we got to the top we made the explosion noise. He loved it.

Very cute... love the face expressions work you've done
I'm sure it'll give you and the little one hours of quality time together reading it

    Chibi J,
Kittens such as this cutie are adorable animals that kids will identify
with, a great choice for the main story character. Good luck on your
    book.
