    Windows 7 64-bit vs Windows 7 32-bit

Can I run Artrage on Windows 7 64-bit or do I need the 32-bit offered only by Dell from what I can see.

Thumbs up AND the winner is

    Hi there,

I have win 7 64 bit laptop. When you install Ar it will automatically place it in 32 bit mode. No problems. Well, just my artistic ability to use AR that is. lol

    Enjoy

64 bit also gives you the option of running in a multiple core, large RAM environment. At present ArtRage doesn't support polythreading, but that will change, if only to keep ArtRage competitive.

64 bit OS/machines will run 32 bit apps no worries.

I'm running Win7 ultimate 64bit on my workstation here

Thank you for your replies. You helped make me feel less nervous about Windows 7.

How do you know? Is there any comment on when it will become multi threaded or 64 bit, or whether it will be 3.x or version 4.x or later?

    As mentioned here:

There are no specific plans to delay either multi threading or 64 bit support to a version 4.x but we're unable to give you any further information at this point.
