    Fire on the water

Using Knife to make realistic flame effects. This is an image that I took during Hurricane Ike. A house, surrounded by water, Burning. I used this in another painting - some might remember.

Very cool. The fire effects are great. I have become a fan of the knife and oil paint tubes.

    Nice job.

Very intense painting. You've captured the heat of fire really well. Hopefully the family living there wasn't too harmed. As a child of a family if firefighters and public service people... I am well aware of how a fire could harm without touching anyone.

Looks like a huge forest fire, not just one house burning. I like the way the direction of your flames conveys the intense heat and the strong wind that is whipping it along. I would hate to be a firefighter, or anyone else, in it's path! First the movie poster and now this, have we got a theme of summer heat going here, albeit heat of different types?
