    Smile Oh vo-de-o-doh ScottF. ~ ~

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Happened to hear that our honorable member in residence, ScottF has
    celebrated a recent birthday and felt inspired to send him a little gift.
    Am still in an Art Deco mood and thought ... THAT'S IT! A rad period
    portrait of Scott in a sleek Tux and tie might be a nice surprise. Though
    I only had Scott's avatar image to refer to ... here it is ... a most dapper
    Scott that any "It Girl" would stand in line to dance the Charleston with.
    Scott, hope you like your Art Deco inspired portrait and to celebrate your
    special day ... below are some Busby Berkeley related chefs who have
    baked you more than one festive cake because we weren't sure if you
    were the chocolate or vanilla kind of "swell."
    I think I see a transition from ScottF to F Scott (Fitzgerald) Very classy, Dollface.
    L Skylar Brown,
    A gracious thank you for such a lovely reply and ... had only a vague
    recall on who F. Scott Fitzgerald might be and based on your comment,
    decided to Google a F.S.F. photo to research what he looked like and ...
    OMG ... look what I found! The below image has an uncanny
    resemblance in the way that I envisioned, then painted Scott F's Art Deco
    persona, in particular the pose. You have one amazing perceptive ability.
    Unbelievable ... most unbelievable!
    He cracks me up with those bulging eyes of his. I like the crazy character he played. He sort of reminded me of Alphalfa on the little rascals. lol Awesome drawing.
    Evart,
    There were quite a few F. Scott Fitzgerald photos I found during my
    Google search this morning but the one that I connected with and
    posted above has a remarkable comparison (pose wise) re: how I
    painted our ScottF. I am not familar with any characters that F.S.F.
    may have played but based on his period photos, he does seem to
    have rather hypnotic "Betty Davis" eyes.
    Your positive response on the painting is much appreciated.
    Mairz - F Scott Fitzgerald was a writer (The Great Gatsby). He tried making it in Hollywood- as a screenwriter, but by then He was too emmeshed with alcohol and a disintegrating wife. A tragic figure, really. You should read some of his writings, tho.
