    Outer Limits

Okay, here is the finished sci-fi Roger Dean-ish mermaid landscape renamed from mermaids in the blue lagoon to outer limits. My son said that they looked like Navi mermaids-lol.
Landscape not copied, but referenced from my book "Magnetic Storm" and the mermaids from my brain and imagination. About twenty layers all painted in ArtRage3 Pro.

Absolutely wonderfully done Sandy! It's all great, the colors, the mermaids, imagination,etc... Great job on the water..

    " About twenty layers"

Here I thought I was the only one insane enough
to use that many layers! LOL...

    Great job my friend!

Great sci-fi feel on this. The hair is really well done and gives a sense of motion.

"Outer Limits" has all of the elements of a captivating and most romantic
fantasy that the creative senses embrace with appreciation. The painting
moves the viewer to thoughts of far away places ... this piece being
one of your most beautiful expressions to date. A little poem seemed to
"surface" and I hope you like it.

    The Treasure Within ~

If there ever were a lagoon of blue ~
Of magic and full moons ~
I'd be this mermaid, free to bathe ~
Dreams deep with intent, pursue ~

Down still down moves ethereal tail ~
Propelling aqua imagine's like me ~
To seek the rare pearl though elusive a find ~
And delight in enchanted things ~

A powerful and original imagination was necessary to have this vision come visible and real in a way, dear Sandra.
The sense of an alien, extreme environment, yet within our experience somehow, with these intriguing creatures, at once similar and completetely different from human beings, is so vividly perceivable that I can almost hear the elements sounds and feel the freshness of this cool, but uncontaminated place as well as the chuckling dialogue notes of these Navi mermaids ....
    Panta rei (everything flows)!

    Dear Oriane, Thank you!

MaryAnn, I was moved and inspired by your kind comment and your artful and beautiful poetry. You have made my day. Again many thanks dear lady!

Cesare, Thank you dear friend. I think with your glazing tutorial, I was reminded of this artist's technique. I was drawn to what was to me powerful dream like applications. I am so happy that you liked it-this means the world to me, and I appreciate your kind and encouraging words.
