    A Grizzly Evening

This is a salvage job of an old painting that never quite came off the way intended. I was going thru some old stuff this evening, and out of the blue, an idea came to me for some changes that I thought would make this worthwhile.
    I think it worked.
All done in ArtRage, except I used Photofiltre to
darken it from daylight to evening.

Edit - Got up this morning, and made a few minor touchups to the water. The "touched up" water is the second picture. Not much difference, but I like it better than the first.

    barnburner,
Even with darkness falling, this formidable grizzly demands a respectful
presence ... at a distance ... while quietly observing the scene with
binoculars with an "infinity" setting! You have captured this powerful
king of his domain with artful reverence and dignity. Well painted.

This looks great. It's reality in my neck of the woods, but I have yet to see one.

No doubt this is one animal that warrants "long distance " viewing!
    Thank you very much!

Evelyn, I really appreciate that. My one disappointment from my trip to Yellowstone last year, was that I did not see a single Grizzly. Hopefully, the next time.. Thanks!

Very nice painting Mike. I have always loved bears. Don't want to get close and personal, but love to watch them. Did you ever see the documentary "Grizzly Man"? Very interesting-I won't spoil it for those who haven't seen it.

Sandy, my dear friend - I'm glad you like it. I've seen several documentaries on Grizzlies, but cannot remember the names. Thanks!
