    The Cowboy Way

So, ya wanted to be a cowboy huh??

I can empathize with his plight.... Wind and rain don't bother me much, but when it comes to lightning - GET ME THE HELL OUT OF HERE!

    barnburner,
What a stirring, mood driven scene. I can sense the feeling of solitute
that this cowboy is experiencing but also the impression of him having
the need to be earth connected, even to experiencing contemplative
solace in being witness to the exhilarating beauty of an oncoming storm.
Love the expansive, open air ambiance. Well painted.

Caesar - You point about the lack of sharpness was dead on. I'm not sure what happened...perhaps when I descaled back down to my normal resolution, it gave me the faded edges? Anyway - I touched it up a bit and reuploaded, and I think it looks better. Thanks for the kind comments.

Coops - I'm so glad you like it. Thanks!

Evart - Many thanks for your kind appreciation.

Mairzie - Thank you. I dearly appreciate your thoughts.

Jo - Thank you very much. Glad you liked it.

Nicely done, barnburner! It reminds of when I used to watch thunderstorms rolling across the West Texas plains.
The only problem with humor is that no one takes it seriously.

Sandra, my friend, your kindness is truly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Scott - Your comment about West Texas reminded me of something country singer Waylon Jennings once said. Waylon grew up in Littlefield, and he said that he ate so much Arizona and New Mexico dirt from the wind storms, that he learned to tell the difference between the two states, just by the taste.
I'm glad you liked the painting. Thanks!
