    Thinking about Lalique

Hi all! Made this this morning with the help of my 5-yr-old....it's been a hectic few weeks as Spring launches itself and working on projects like this is one of my daughter's favorite ways to unwind with Mom.

I've checked out a book of Lalique jewelry three times in a row from the library this Spring. I can't stop looking at it; I am enamored. The book includes many exquisite sketches as well as the jewelry derived from the the sketches. The palettes of his original illustrations and the nature-based art noveau design are fascinating to me. I would love to see a brooch made with a dove and apple blossom theme by Lalique....I imagine it would be exquisite.

Technique: dove stencil from stock photo, frame stencil from Dubtastic's blog, and crabapple photos I took a few days ago......
