    Just a robin indeed....what a wonderful robin this is, Paul! I love your special touch to the background as well as the leaves around the robin. It's a unique effect in which gives depth to your painting.

    This new style evolution emphasising focused subject against a variously unfocused environment is brilliant and the whole composition show a quite uncommen taste and talent!

    Love the focus effects on the leaves, having some that are really sharp really makes this feel like macro photography. Agree with all the posts here, the rich impasto background is delicious
