    tree experiment

This is an experiment doing textures of tree bark. I know it is not very good, but that is what experiments are all about. Is there anyone that has any tips for me on tree bark. Best wishes Jo x

I really like what you did with your tree bark.
Since you asked for suggestions, I'll offer up one I
have found brings pretty good results. It involves the
use of the Tube Tool. It takes a lot of time and effort, because you have to use other tools to both remove the rings, and to hide/rough up the shiny spots. The use of the knife is really important to help you shape the tree, and to help in the use of the other tools.
As an example, the main tree in the painting was made
    with the Tube Tool.
