    This had a Pacific coast feel to me.

    AT-TA: There are mountains outside of Albuquerque, New Mexico called the Sandias. Legend has it that the local Native Americans had a name for them that meant Watermelon in their language, because they became the magenta red of that fruit at sunset. I have trouble painting southwest mountains now without using those colors regardless of the time of day!

    I was in Albuquerque, New Mexico about 36 years ago. I did note the colors of the mountains including White sands as we drove threw the state.
    I like the very colorful bands of mountains stretching across Utah, Arizona and New Mexico.
