Grid layer? and repositioning on canvas

I have tried to find a grid tool in my program but I haven't found one so I can make designs that are centered properly. Is there such a tool in AR3?

Also, if I want to move the postition of my painting on the canvas , what is the best method of doing that without doing a total wipe and starting over?
    Thanks, Beth-Eirene

  2. As far as I know, ArtRage has no build in grid funtion...?
Either import any grid (e.g. field-grid) as a Tracing image,
Or Import Image File to Layer...
Or draw your grid with the Grids-Stencil...
Or use the Ruler to draw your lines...

Select the Layer and the Transform Tool, then resize and position your drawing...

    Regards
    Nolan

Sheesh, got your name wrong again. Really sorry...
ps. On a Mac the quickest way to move the canvass around is by holding down the space bar. I don't know if this applies to PCs as well

Way back in March, 2006, a member from good old England posted the following idea.

    Straight Lines and Perspective
If you have problems with Straight lines and Perspective then use a .jpg of a piece of Graph Paper as your tracing image. Wind up the strength of the Opacity when you want see if you're on track, remember to switch it out when you don't need it. If you don't, then what you see on the screen will be a pale version of your picture.

I think there is a jpg of a piece of graph paper there as well
