    Dreaming Woman

Sometimes things come from failure, this started out as a field with a house in the background. Ran the knife all over it, mushed it all around, saw an eye in the resultant mess...This is what followed...

Lovely! It reminds me of a dream state, all muted and soft.

This brings to mind a song I wrote a while back:

    If I could only dream
    I'd dream of yesterday
    for that's the only time
    I spent with you
    and inside my dream
    you would call my name
    and things would never change
    if I could only dream
if I could only dream again

    If I could only dream
    I'd see you every night
    and you would always be
    right by my side
    and I'd have the chance
to say I love you so
    and you would never go
    away
if I could only dream again
I'd only want to dream of you.

Nice work Rob -- sometimes things come on the heels of a failure that are better than what we set out to do in the first place. This has a real mood and conveys the subject perfectly. Al

Its a brilliant painting Rob. The colours soft and dreamy like her face. Great
Sometimes...I remember better with my eyes closed

Very good use of texture, color and metalic reflection Rob,
I also like to have non finished work and use it in a new composition.

I like very much the smooth face of the dreamer,
    beautiful work.

Al, your poem is a so nice adagio to Rob's dreaming woman ,
    excellent .

Dear Rob, Yours is a magical, although hardly repeatable, procedure, to paint artpieces: starting with a completely different subject and then inducing an happy accident to finally come out with a uterly different wonderful tribal outcome!
Gorgeous! I like it very much!
    Panta rei (everything flows)!
