Thread: City Streets...

  1. City Streets...

Hi again. My latest piece, which follows on from the last one I posted here. Same workflow - SketchUp model, paint-over with Artrage.

    Thanks for looking

    WOAH!!! Great lighting.

Fantastic!!!!!! Very dimensional and really interesting image. Would love to walk around in there. . . if I were properly armed.

very fine job acd. This is a good manner to show how using sketchup to build point of view and perspective and better to focus on your painting. But...
how many time do you need to build this type of model on sketchup ?

N.B. I went in the forum to see all your posts (and your website) and I discovered a lot of paints you did that I like much !

  6. Thanks Guys. Ogside - the SketchUp model took about 20 minutes. To be honest, that's quicker than I could have laid out a perspective grid and sketched it by hand. And because it's in 3D, once the model is done, you can choose any view-point, find the perfect composition etc.

Like Dakey, I did a big "whoa!!!" when your painting came up. Impressive as it can be, and full of imagination and interest. I played with the give a way version of Sketchup for a while and decided there was nothing there for me, but what you have done here shows I was very wrong. Excellent!
